Aside from those other invaluable purchases that make everyday life better: Condoms/birth control, drugs and alcohol, pets, the Louisiana purchase, and the like. These ten items are products that I use everyday and are orders of magnitude better than any other ordinary product that fulfills that same function.

#1. Bose QuietComfort 20 Headphones

  • The noise-cancelling feature is a Godsend, the absolute best especially for studying
  • I like these headphones as opposed to the over-ear versions because I can actually lay-down/sleep in these
  • The sound-quality is top-notch in my opinion (I even prefer them to my AudioTechnica ATH-m50x’s)

#2. Amazon Kindle (PaperWhite or Voyage)

  • The e-ink screen is fantastic, it’s just like reading a paperback book
  • The backlight allows for reading in dimly lit rooms and it even auto-adjusts
  • Super-long battery life

*Note: I have the Voyage simply because I prefer the side buttons to flip pages as opposed to swiping

#3. Dreamfoam Bedding 2" Gel Memory Foam Topper (Queen)

  • Extremely comfortable in my opinion
  • It’s like lying on a cloud
  • I look forward to sleeping even when I’m at peak wakefulness

#4. Nalgene Tritan 32oz Water Bottle

  • Holds a ton of water
  • Has a lid that you can easily strap onto stuff
  • The Multi-lid is dope

*Note: I have a customized one from their website

#5. Amazon Echo Dot

I use it for:

  • Setting Alarms
  • SmartHome connectivity
  • Playing Music
  • To-Do Lists
  • Weather

*Note: I have the original Amazon Echo but there’s no reason to grab that with the newly introduced Echo Dot

#6. Apple AirPods

  • Seemless Connectivity
  • Very fast charge, about 4–5 recharges with a fully powered case
  • Convenient case charging
  • Don’t fall out even when running on the treadmill/walking to class on a windy day (though I don’t advise)

#7. Apple TV

  • You can cast your mac screen, iPad screen, and even iPhone screen
  • The integration with AirPods is amazing
  • Has a buttery smooth UI, has all the Apps you need, has a last watched and resume watching, and the remote is dope
  • Has a hella fun Dance, Dance game (and tinder for some reason)

#8. Timex Weekender

  • Budget, Casual Timepiece
  • Light-Up feature
  • Water Resistant
  • Unisex

#9. Pilot G2 Pen

  • A carry-over from my debating days, this was my tool of choice to take notes with
  • Writing with this pen is super smooth
  • It lasts for a good while
  • It has a super comfortable grip
  • It makes a delicious *click* sound

#10. Slim Wallet

  • Emphasis on slim, I hate bulky wallets they’re uncomfortable when sitting
  • It looks stupid bulging from your pants
  • When you run it’s not bouncing up and down
  • It’s 2018 dude

Honorable Mention: Snapchat Spectacles

  • I use these for concerts, hiking, traveling, and other adventurous outings
  • Looks a bit silly but I don’t mind plus everyone is super intrigued by them
  • Super easy to just snap a quick video and finally, a picture!
  • Personally, I love rewatching the snaps saved to memories from a first-person perspective
